Hot on the high heels of the fabulous Anything Goes party (see the photos now up) we take you back to the Roaring 20’s with our “MAKIN’ WHOOPEE” night – in reference to the song first popularised in 1928, and since recorded by some of the greatest stars of jazz: Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra, Dinah Washington, and more recently Michelle Pfeiffer, in her famous scene in The Fabulous Baker Boys. Leading our music line-up is the unique singing sensation AMOOTI BINAISA – a longstanding favourite of ours, backed by the amazing house band: Aaron Liddard (sax), Paul Eldridge (piano), Dominic Bentham (bass), Jules Fenton (drums). And, returning by popular demand, our special guests are the 'HAVANA TRIO!' with a set guaranteed to pack the dance floor… |
